I keep my scraps in zipper bags that sheet sets come in, to organize by color. I used most of my fall colors scraps up for this project. Now I have more room. Yay!

I feel the same way, Penni. A piece that would make the top AND side of one of those squares is called "yardage" at my house. But I'm going to try that one anyway. Maybe my squares will have almost matching sides.

I love it! I can't wait to organize my scraps - the seem to grow in the night! I like your idea of storing them in plastic bags.

LOL, I think my scraps grow in the night also. I feel like sewing with the scraps more, if they are organized into colors. I really hate searching through all the shades to find what I want. Now all greens are in one bag, beige in another ect. Makes using my scraps sew much easier.
