Ok these are not quilted or sewn by me at all. I bought some sheets from walmart (twin size) and made my design but then couldn't figure out how to do it in applique so I decided to use fabric paints instead.
What do you think?

this one is a very light blue

this one is darker I still don't like the feet and beak color so I will go get more paint tomorrow and change them to orange

I remember your previous posts regarding these very special sheets. I think you have chosen a beautiful design, it is very appropriate for the purpose and is a lovely expression of your artistry. You have put such a lot of yourself into these, I salute you!

Thanks everyone, I'm not much at painting but I use to wood burn pictures and then stain them with translucent ceramic paints so I felt safer at working with the paints then trying the applique. Later I may try the applique but I didn't want to take to long getting them to the hospital.

And yes they will be going to the hospital in a few days. I still have to heat set them and then I want to do a wash test on them, just to be sure.

Some one had mentioned that they thought painting them would make them stiff but since I used the paint as lightly as I could, it seems to be ok as far as flexibility is concerned.
