Love it!! And what a great idea. One of those, "Why didn't I think of that moments".

I'm really tempted to order this pattern. Were the directions clearly written? Do you think it would be easy to enlarge about an inch both ways? Any help would be appreciated.
Just what I need - another purse pattern - NOT.

What I would like is someone to make and sell the base and I would only have to make the outer purse. Hmmm. I am going to have to start looking at purses to adapt as a base and pattern up a outer purse for it. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you all for your nice comments! I thought the pattern was easy enough to follow however one should have basic purse making knowledge. I used Annies Soft and Stable for the foam batting--love that stuff! I would think it would be easy enough to enlarge the pattern a bit if you wanted. Added bonus is you get more "pockets" between the basic purse and the shell. I would go with skinnier straps next time. When the pattern said to leave a 3.5 in opening for turning I made it at least an inch larger since can be a tight squeeze. Well, this was the first one so was a learning one. We always do better with the next ones, right?!

The bag is very pretty. You did a great job on it. I have seen that bag pattern listed, but never tried it.
