Coming along nicely....remember to hop up from time to time and do some stretches or a spot of another activity. I find handwork extremely addictive and meditative...you will be hooked in no time.

I am finding it extremely relaxing to be honest. I just pop in a movie or a DVD of a TV series I like and just let my mind wander as I do the quilting. I think I really will do more of these hand quilted from now on.
And I've got the height of the chair pretty much where it needs to be and the frame is one height fits all...(Sad) but I'll just hop up from time to time and do the other chores that I'm avoidig as I quilt! LOL

If you have to bend over your work then maybe you could adjust the height/tilt of the hoop or the height of your chair so you don't strain your neck muscles.

By the end of the quilt, you will be an expert. I quilt only by machine because that is what I enjoy. My friend prefers by hand because she sits in front of the fireplace in the winter and enjoys it.

You are off to a good start. I'm still far behind the majority of people but when I look at my first several attempts I realize that I've come a lonnnnnnnnnnng way.
Please stick to it and enjoy the peace!
