Default Vintage Granny Squares...by Charisma

I inherited these blocks from someone.
They were made from mens old shirts and hand pieced...not all the blocks were the same size...fragile fabrics...but they still needed to be put into a quilt don't you think?

I added the sashing& corner stones along with a border...and quilted it with a large stipple.
It's currently in the wash to get the vintage crinkle look that happens with the bamboo batting (just like W&N cotton).

Your choice of a simple quilt design complements humble beginnings of this quilt. I love the "down-home" look of quilts made with men's shirts. Thanks for sharing.

Oooh... those blocks are fabulous! I've always liked (what I call) the "Autograph block" (or what-ever it's real name is) & these vintage ones are just awesome. I love how you set them together & agree that the simpler quilting really adds to the overall "vibe". This one is a keeper! Thanks for sharing!
