Default Vintage Hankie Quilt....Finished!

A friend gave me several vintage hankerchiefs she had when I told her I wanted to make a quilt with some I had purchased. I decided to make it in the quilt as you go form and it worked out wonderfully for me. I love the way it came out and wanted to share it with all of you. I hope you like it too.

Very pretty! It is so feminine and dainty. Any girl would love to have it. I love how you did the corners too.Great job.

Love it! Reminds me that I still need to do something with my mother's. After she died my sister and I were cleaning out her closet. After we had each sorted a huge stack of clothes I asked my sis if she had checked the pants pockets. She said no why? I reminded her that mom always carried a handkerchief in her pocket. We went back through all the pants pockets and laughed every time we found another hanky. Then we had fun dividing them up. Peggy

I like your quilt and it's giving me ideas. (Course that always happens when I'm browsing the forum.)

I may have to make one of these with some of the hankies I received many as gifts years ago when we ladies still used hankies. It would be a memory quilt of sorts, although I'm not sure I can remember exactly who gave me which hankies at this point. Oh well, it would be a memory of my youth and a sweeter time of life.

Making all the hankies into butterflies is nice but so cliché. I like the idea that you didn't do that. I like your layout of your blocks. Thanks for sharing.
