    That looks great, you really chose the best possible IMO way to quilt it. What would you have liked to do given no restrictions? (wondering, cause it looks really good!)

    I think you did a superb custom job for a panto price, probably what the customer really wanted but was afraid to ask. At any rate, you've enhanced a lovely vintage quilt, and it will now become a cherished family heirloom, so you did good.

    I'm not sure now that this one is finished that anything else would have been better. If it had been quilted to fit the time period she made it in, it would have to have been quilted within 1/4 inch of each seam (impossibly time consuming). I could have done a curvy crosshatch - but that would have been way too much extra time. I just didn't want to do an allover stipple that wouldn't have added any interest or a panto that wasn't created back then.

    Beautiful job. I'm making notes of all the hex's I see so I can make a decision on mine when I make it in approx. 2042. That will only make me a hundred!
