I enjoy making vintage quilt copies .. I have done several so far. Here is a photo of one of my vintage quilts, a copy from a McCall's Vintage mag published some years ago. It is a vintage 1940's repro.

It is the first quilt top I have quilted entirely on my new long arm, Jewel. I have not bound it as yet.

I like your quilt, the pattern is great and the colors are really nice. Are they all vintage reproduction material?

Thanks. Yes, the fabric I used is all vintage repro .. I have an affinity for these old quilts; when I was a very young girl, my granny used to sit me down on the sofa and show me what she was up to at the moment. She taught me to embroider and do English paper piecing as well.

Thanks. I will have to check that one out. Recently, I purchased The 2010, Vol I of The Better Homes and Gardens "Antique Quilts" from American Patchwork and Quilting. On page 55 is a photo of a quilt I copied several years ago. I have a couple of photos of me making it.

I'm more into the Civil War repro fabrics these days and have done several CW repros
