I got this vintage quilt top at a yard sale last year for $5.00.
It is entirely hand appliqued, and pieced, with some extremely tiny hand stitching. The white fabric is disassembled flour sack material, and there are places that previous stitching was removed. The prints are early 1920's flour and sugar sack quality fabric, mainly, and the green solid is a bit tighter woven.
After the appliques were sewn on, the back fabric was trimmed out in all but one block.
I was undecided about finishing this until I saw the antique quilt tops that Eddie has been finishing up.
I got a vintage print from fabrics.com that looks beautiful with this, and plan to put a border on it, and finish it. It was made for a double bed, and mine is queen sized, and with a border, this will work fine.
I just had to share my prized acquisition.
Since I am not sure yet about whether to hand or machine quilt it, it may be a while before I post and finished photos.

That is quite a treasure. It'll be awesome when you are finished and make a great heirloom to pass down.
