Default Wall Hanging

I share this because I like to be beaten up!
The pattern is a Jinny Jenny Beyer Studio - developed for a border print.
Since I didn't have any border print and I wanted to showcase the vintage fabric I opted to fussy cut some fabric.

Unfortunately I was focused on the pattern that would immediately frame the vintage fabric and failed to look closely at how the outer edges would go together.

The blocks aren't sewn wonky, they just have that look because of the way I fussy cut the fabric.

Nice looking from AFAR!

Thanks for looking!

OK ... now I see what you're talking about. The border around the vintage fabric is actually one piece with red/white in the middle then green plaid, then black. And your'e fussing about the black rim around the block perhaps??

You can fix it by attaching a nice size decorative ribbon around the outside edge of the Octagon. I would suggest something with black and gold. The black will help "mask" the black border around the Octo's.
