Sasha's step brother is getting married at the end of July, and I offered to construct a signature quilt as a keepsake instead of a guest book. The guests will each sign one of the light strips.
Originally I was just going to provide the strips to sign and assemble everything after, but think ppl would understand what the project was supposed to be, so it's easier to construct the quilt and have them sign it.

The wedding is in 2.5 weeks, and I'm about half-way done the top. In the end there will be appx. 100 signature strips, and I'll provide some extras in case we run out.

I LOVE it!!! AND this way they have to sign where you want them too... not clear into the seam allowance
Very pretty :D:D:D

Great quilt , and better to not let them sign all helter skelter, otherwise you end up with no seam allowance  .

Can you finish it after the weeding so when they sign it , it is on a hard surface and not soft ? Might be easier to sign that way

yup, I'm going to display just the top for the wedding, and I'm even going to iron freezer paper to the back of the light pieces to make it easier to sign. Then, I'll add any extra signature strips, borders, and assemble and quilt the whole thing after the wedding is finished.
