Here is another wall-hanging that was made for the Lakes Area Child Advocacy Center located in Branson West, Missouri. We donate blankets to them regularly. I had made a wall-hanging for the Burrell Autism Center in Springfield with pics that the children drew and colored their handprints on muslin. This wall-hanging, we made muslin boys and girls (from their logo that they use and allow me to use) and let the children color them. They loved doing this. Took all the pics and put them together with a beautiful dark blue paisley, added an embroidered square and now it hangs in a place of honor for everyone to see. Thanks for looking.

When we were coming up with a project to involve the children, it is surprising what low self-esteem many of these children suffer from due to being abused physically, sexually and emotionally. This was such a great exercise for the child to draw themselves as they are and to laugh. We couldn't allow names and they were disappointed in that due to legal issues. We explained how we were protecting them and keeping them safe. The children were fine once we explained that to them.
