    I have no idea why she'd tell you something like that. It works perfectly. I'd be so tempted to display it in front of her and give her a raspberry "pfffffft."

    Good for you Pamela for going with your instincts and not taking NO for an answer. Your quilt is beautiful and the handle and basket bottom would not look the same if you hadn't used HST's.
    How many patterns and techniques would not be known if it weren't for quilters experimenting and breaking the "rules". :wink: :wink: :wink:

    Gorgeous!!! Never tried anything like that, but paint in watercolors, and know that sometimes they take on a life of their own.
    Whatever rules you went by......the results are FABULOUS!!
