Here is a wedding quilt for my grand daughter I started January 2009, I just finished the binding this morning, October 31.
I named it Floral Bouguet.
The pattern is from Fons and Porter called Stars are Daytime Friends- March/April 2003. As you can see I did not follow the theme, no stars. I made flowers instead. Pieced flowers as well as machine embroidered flowers. On the drop I pieced Debbie Mumms butterfly block. It was made for a queensize bed, it measures 95 X 106. It was professionally custom quilted by a long arm quilter. She has been quilting my quilts for about 5 years and does wonderful work. My grand daughter is only 10 years old. But I have a quilt ready when the time comes. :0)

What a nice wedding gift, granddaughters are special arent they?! I taught mine to sew last time she was here, she is 8 and quite the character. We're convinced she will be an actress, she is so animated and dramatic.

That is beautiful. A wedding quilt from Grandma is always so special. I still have the one my Grandmother made for my wedding 33 years ago.

This is lovely! What a treasure she will have. Your 'customizing' has made it truly one of a kind.
