This quilt used in my avatar was made for my niece Mandy and her husband Tyson for a wedding present in November 2010. I used the pattern from the book Specatular Rectangles. The pattern is called Autumn Paths. I purchased the kit from Quilt Beginnings in Columbus, Ohio and then purchased more of the oranges, browns, reds and tans to add more variety. I did the quilting on my Gammill using Quilters Black Dream Cotton batting and Superior thread. The quilting is all done free hand. Stippling in all the black areas, leaves in the braids, and flowers with leaves in the floral areas.

Thank you for sharing. Beautiful braids, love the bright colors and love how you were able to use large blocks of the gorgeous floral fabric. The earlier posters are correct, it is a sizzling lava flow.
