Besides the little friendship bags I was doing, I got this idea in my head that wouldn't let go. I decided to take a piece of 9 inch muslin and fuse one of the coffee filters in the middle, to give it some stability. From there, my idea was to do one of those 'pop out' flowers with all the little pieces of fabric going in a circle.

    Well that didn't work! lol

So I fussy cut out a rose, set it in the center and began placing fabric around it (this was going to be a circle, mind you).

Unfortunately the fabric had a mind of its own and became a square. lol, my rose is a bit off, because it was set wrong in the beginning, but I still like it.

My next bright idea was to do the sunflower and sandals block that I found while going through other links people post on here. I need to put the buttons on, but I did get the applique done. I'm thinking about putting it on a purse.

    A bit wonky rose block

Thanks all :) That rose didn't shut up either till I did something further with the block. So, it became a larger size of the friendship bag. Hehe.
