Default Weekend shopping

We went on a mini-vacation this weekend and did some Christmas shopping. We also hit an estate sale, Joann, and Hancock's while we were out and about.

The estate sale advertised "some sewing items and machines." We saw the machines but nothing we were really interested in. There were a couple of stacks of blocks, but they were marked $35 for 20 blocks. We didn't love them so we left them there. On the way out, we passed a portable hanging rack with several quilt tops on them. We picked out two of them and brought them home. Both were machine pieced but the fabrics look old. We thought we did pretty good for $60.

We didn't find anything at Hancock's, but Joann had several things on clearance. We bought about 70 yards of fabric for a shade over $200. The rockets and solids will be for a baby quilt for a friend's first grandbaby (a boy due in May).

I'm having trouble with the pics. Hang on I'll keep trying.

Thanks for looking,

Darren

More pics - I guess I haven't done a bunch of attachments on the new board.

That double wedding ring looks alot like the one I slept under as a teenager. Same sort of prints and size of the wedges. Most of the patterns for DWR that I've seen lately have wider wedges.
