Default Western Ribbon Weave

Just finished this quilt last night, washed it this morning, and it's laid out to finish drying. The pattern is Ribbon Weave from Bethany Reynolds' book Stack-n-Whackipedia. I changed the borders and used more variety in the sashing fabrics. The first picture is the quilt top, then the back, then some of the leftovers of the fabric that I used. This quilt is very quick and easy to make. I saw this fabric used in a stack-n-whack (using a different pattern) at Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show last year, so I looked for it and found it online. I had planned to use a solid backing, but didn't have enough of any fabric that halfway matched, so I wound up making more blocks and used them on the back. This is the first time that I used Sharon Shaumber's glue method for binding, and I have to admit I didn't pay enough attention to the directions in her video when it came to the corners, so I messed it up somewhat, but I now know what I SHOULD have done and will try it again on another quilt.

The fabric is fabulous. It is surprising how different it looks once you start to cut it up. Lovely quilt.

Dunster, what a cool quilt! The borders are wonderful, and love the back too. i've not seen this kind of S&W either; really fascinating.
