Default What I did with leftover HST's...

Earlier today I posted on the Main board and asked for ideas of what to do with leftover HST's from another project. I had a bunch of 5" HST's leftover from making the first quilt.

Someone suggested a Carpenter's Star and the lightbulb went on in my head! The Carpenter's Star has been on my bucket list, so I decided to do a scrappy one with my "leftovers"!

So, I threw this together this afternoon. The blocks aren't sewn together, yet...this is just them on my design wall.

I think it's going to be a baby quilt, so will wait to add the border. When I find out it's for a girl, I'll do a pink border and if it is to be for a boy, I'll add a blue border.

I know it's not real "cutesy" like most baby quilts, but do you think it's okay for a baby quilt?

I think that will make a great baby quilt. Great idea for using those leftover HST.

Beautiful! I love it when I can create something with leftover pieces. :-)

I think it's perfect for a baby quilt! It will be used longer, something they won't "grow out of"

I think it will be a great baby quilt. It will still be a great quilt for an older child as he/she grows older.
