I love Sunbonnet Sue also - have made about 20-25 from assorted Sue & Bill patterns over the years.
I have a question for you - do you piece around the blocks or do you applique them over the background fabric.
I have some "Frida Kahlo" blocks that are long & narrow & have been looking for a method to use them.
    Thanks!
So many books, so little time.

I bordered...did short strips on top and bottom of each sq...then ran a long strip in between rows to attach...

Love your lapquilt. I love Sunbonnet Sue. Where did you get the SBS in the rocking chair? Never seen that one before.
