The bug jar quilt is just too too cute and I just HAD (you know how that is don't you?), just HAD to get some bug stuff to make one...

We ran down to Mobile to get exterior paint for the shop building so... since Joanne's is 'just right there' we went in there and I got a few bug ones, we went to Hancock's but it was closed until 1pm and as it was only around 11:30 we didn't want to just hang around waiting for them to open (we have to go back down there next Monday for my lab tests 8)

anyway so then we went to the Fabric by the pound place and I got some more bug stuff - I have 15 different fabrics now and will see what I can add from Hancocks next week...

I love those 'googly' eyes! and the two different spider ones (look at Halloween fabric for those)

is the Fabric by the pound place in mobile? Next time we visit my folks in Prattville, I'll have to drive down there to check it out! And see family at the same time!

I know of two - I think there used to be more:
the one in Mobile at the Overlook shopping center off University Blvd

and one on Highway 59 in Summerdale on the 'eastern shore'

we've been to both

all the cotton quilt stuff is $4.29 a yard now - he's raised the prices several times just since we moved down here but still not a bad deal for name brand stuff...

if you come down I65 - take a side jog to Sir's Fabrics - exit 14 - US64 in Fayetteville, TN

plan to stay several hours... :D

I can envision a couple of Bug Jar Quilts in the making here!!! How great - I cannot find anywhere near that amount of "buggy" material. But I am still working on it.............
