I pulled out my first "grown up" machine yesterday and had to laugh I used to FMQ on this it has a 5" throat and it does just fine. So for those who think that there machine cannot or won't trust me it will you just need to roll up the quilt and do the FMQ dance and have a nice big surface to lay the quilt on. The machine is a brother SE-270D I moved up last year to the Juki 98-q and I love them both.

That reminds me of someone that had to live on a shoe string and all of a sudden got a big pay raise.
No wonder you can't sleep at night thinking about your new machine that will be here in April. WooHoo.

Those are sweet! And I agree, FMQ can be done on just about any machine....it just a lot of practice

I had that same machine and I sold it. I kick myself for doing it. It is really a great machine - even if it was sold at Walmart.

I have that same Brother machine and FMQ on it, too! It isn't so bad. :)

Sadly, it is starting to have some issues with the computer resetting itself. So, I may be in the market for another one soon.
