the pinwheels are easy to do.
Try this:
cut out 4 background squares (whatever size you want)
cut out 4 squares the same size in the fabric you want your pinwheel to be.
place a background square right side faceing you and take a pinwheel block- fold it in half on the diagonal and place it --from corner to corner--right side of the fabric faceing you -onto the background fabric. depending on what way you want the pinwheel going--take the lower corner and fold it back to the edge of your block. I pin the corner to keep it in place while I sew the seam down in the next step.
Then lay another background block -right side down and sandwitch the first square and the folded pinwheel. Sew down the side useing a quarter inch seam.
Do 3 more -just the same and sew them together to make your block. Just make sure that all 4 blocks are going the same way.
It sounds complicated but really isn,t.
It took me 3 days to cut-sew -quilt and bind the quilt up.
I didn,t even have a pattern.
Just did the block up to see what they would look like and ran with it .
glad you liked it and hope these directions are easy for you to follow.
