This is a sample block I did today to see if I would like it. Thinking of a lap quilt.

is that metallic threads? they really show up on that black, I like that. It sorta looks like a sand dollar.

That is really pretty, I like what you did with the string quilting, I'm doing the same thing on a quilt of black-eyed susans. VERY NICE.

Can you tell us something about your quilt block. It looks like string art??? Very interesting and something I've never seen before. I love it. Did you enjoy making this block? Sometimes a quilt block is beautiful but not something I want to make too many of!!!

The block is actualy an embroidered geometric design on a 6" black block. I resized the design to fit on the corner 3 1/2" blocks. The sides are done with strip piecing

Actualy I enjoyed doing the block. Was thinking of a lap quilt but might do a queen size instead. It doesnt take that long to embroider
