I have been busy building a new patio this summer and thought I would show off a bit. I have done some sewing also and this is a throw blanket I completed recently. I enjoyed both these ventures and the patio is a lot like quilting except the "blocks" are about 6 pounds each!

A little wild but I think it's fun!

This patio used about 4000 pavers.

Herringbone design; kind of like quilting!

Your patio is beautiful. I am impressed that you had time to do both that and finish such a fun quilt.

I think my back started hurting just looking at all those pavers that had to be moved and placed. At 6 pounds each, that was a whole lot of back breaking work for someone.
I loved both your summer projects. Good job.

thank goodness my husband has a strong back and one of our sons did a lot of lifting and carying. After all were laid I spent last Saturday spreading sand, 500 pounds of sand! DH carried the bags and I spent 7 hours sweeping it into the joints. Very satisfying work but I'm glad it's done!
