I have been working on this runner and my daughter looks at it and says it's blah. I kind of agree.. I have been playing with some stitches on my sewing machine and am thinking about using silver thread and going around the applique pieces. Any suggestions?

The pattern calls for iron on crystals in the background. Would silver thread be too much?

Should I bind in purple or black? should I quilt in purple in the outer white border?

I really thought that I would like this more than I do.

Oh, I downloaded and was expecting something really blah..but..no..its not! When you go around the applique with your silver thread and iron on your crystals..it is really gonna shine I think. I think your idea of quilting in the light border with the purple will be an added bonus and I think you should bind with...well...I'm torn...lay both out and then decide when you have all the other things done. I like it..and if you don't then the best idea is to pack it up and send it to me

I really like it. It's very elegant. Can't wait to see it finished.

I think it's beautiful! Bind it with the purple, black would draw your eye to the binding. :)

I love it :)

Really, really nice. when once you get your crystals on and, yes I think the silver would be great to, it will shine and make a really nice Chrismassy table runner.
