Two days ago I was snowed in (I am still snowed in) and decided to make a table topper after seeing some here on the board. Even though it was not on my project list for the year, I thought, why not? I even decided to do it as a QAYG to make it simpler. That way I wouldn't have to machine quilt it, because you know that would be so difficult to do :)! Anyway, I gave no thought to the joining until I sewed the first 2 pie wedges together (see picture 2). What a doe-doe mistake! I decided to bind it and put it on my table as a reminder to think through to the end of the project!!

LOL, I'm sorry I had to laugh. Your comment on the second pic just cracked me up, tears are flowing! We've all done it! Had those duh moments. The seams look perfect. And that part will never be seen anyway.

It's lovely, serene and spring-y! Like your avatar block too. Don't sweat it, no biggie. Even if it were bigger, you could always cover the seams with binding or sashing. But for this, don't bother.

The top is lovely --the back well-- is behind you.

It's beautiful, lovely colours. Of course if you wanted, you could always slip stitch a pretty backing over the whole backing.

Gosh, I stared at the first pic and thought "What is she talking about? This is sooo pretty and looks perfect". Then I saw the 2nd pic. Hey, it's a table topper...no one (but us) will know! It is still very usable! I love it!

I love your colors. No one will know but you; don't tell.
