Default What a quilter can do with a man's hankie-a remembrance

My friend lost her husband last August and I knew she was going to be alone on Christmas. I e-mailed her Christmas eve and told her to send me one of Bill's hankies. She sent two just in case I messed up the centering on the first. So I did one with a quilt stencil and the other with a painted rose, smaller than the version I had painted during Country Christmas. Last night I did another chicken on one of my Mom's kitchen towels. This one is for me. I have to take a couple days to bind all these things I've been doing.

It is a way to keep the remembrance out in the open and have a wonderful thing for others to see.

Love these...esp the chicken! That should bring a smile to her face every time she looks at them...
