Have you ever had a day where everything you do just turns into a mess, and then when you try to fix it, that doesn't turn out well either. I did this quilt as a little quickie for my nieces birthday, but I made one mistake after another turning the whole thing into ONE HUGE MESS! I have figured out where I went wrong and how to fix each problem....but right now I can't even look at the quilt and all I want to do this throw the thing in the garbage! ARGH!!!!....ok just neede to vent.

I love the colors. I think the decorative stitches around the blocks is a nice touch. Your niece will love it! And yes, I've had more of those days/projects than I like to think about.

I've had those days as well. That's when it is time to stop quilting and have a glass of wine. Honestly though, the quilt is beautiful and your niece will love it.

P.S. That line of fabrics is one of my fabrics. I have a couple of small projects made out of it. :-)

It is a beautiful quilt. It has had a few bumps on the way but nothing you can't fix. Finish it. She will love it.

It is beautiful !! Don't give up now, the hard part is over. She will love it and if you don't get it 100% in your eyes, just remember that in her eyes it will be nothing less than perfect. It was made with love and there is no better gift to receive. RELAX !!!!!

Take a deep breath, shut the sewing room door and have a glass of wine!! You should be able to continue safely in about an hour (or whenever the wine has calmed you down)!!! :-) :-)

Yes, we have all had days like this! But--this is a fabulous quilt and your niece is going to love it. Put it aside for a day or two and then you can come back to it with renewed enthusiasm.
