(Or perhaps it's really: where carpet designs come from?)

I'm at a conference in Anaheim. I noticed that the carpet in the room is the same design of a quilt that someone recently posted.

    Made me giggle...

I actually made a quilt from the design on my friend's bathroom floor.

Good designs are timeless and repeated in many forms

I've bought dvds after seeing the movie on tv and noticing a floor design or an unusual quilt in it just so that I could study the design. LOL

When I lived in Galveston, Texas and worked for an architect the building across from ours had really unusal building material on it and my desk set in front of a very large glass window. So in the late afternoon the shadow would fall in all kinds of wonderful shadings. From this I designed a quilt, so yes quilts come from all areas and maybe just a little of a twisted mind.
