Default Heart purse for my DGD Rachel

My DGD wanted a purse so I made her one this aft. It is just a simple heart shape and then put together with a bit of velcro and a stuffed handle. The handle was a pain and I regretted agreeing to make it that way! LOL It is 9" x 10 " with one handle that is 14" from one end to the other. I made a tube out of the same fabric and stuffed it with stuffing til it was hard. It still feels soft but the stuffing is tight in the handle so the handle is rounded not flat.

Rachel is 10 so I asked if she wanted to do the stuffing in the handle. So she worked on it for awhile. I checked to see how she was doing and she had half the handle stuffed down into the first half of the handle along with the stuffing! LOL. I worked on pulling it out for a couple of mins and then decided it was easier to just start over with the handle. So I did.

I think it turned out okay. She liked it.

She's a cutie pie, and her purse is cute too! I've made a mental note to make a couple for my grand daughters. Thanks for inspiring and sharing.
