    Love it! I agree with the folks who suggested doing a few a day.
    I'm going to try this today! I think I'm going to start with a fat quarter, add the strips, then recut into smaller blocks. Is this how you do it?

    I have a pattern saved out of an older magazine. It was called pick-up sticks. It is on my to do list.
    Love your color choice for background and I don't normally like gray.

    Princess, I'm starting with 12" squares and cutting the strips in then squaring down to 11". I'm using 3/4" strips. If I were starting it today, I might sew mini tubes and appliqué them!
    Also, the idea of doing school colors is a little limiting. I added black and white to the teal and purple but wishi had more colors!

    oh! are your school colors purple and teal?

    The first school I taught at in Orlando, FL had school colors of purple and teal - and I swear as soon as I changed jobs that combo became trendy!!
