Who likes modern style quilts? Check this out:
I want to make it queen size, so I need 81 of these puppies. I'm not sure I have the power to stick to it for a whole week. I may have to alternate projects with this one!
Again-school colors...I have lots of high school kids!

These are my blocks

The second example (cream back ground) reminds me of pick up sticks.

Not sure I would have the patience to do those narrow strips. Not very forgiving visually if your seams aren't exact. You are very deligent.

Looks interesting; I like the unusual colour scheme. May I ask if you are piecing each block or are those thin lines appliqued? Are they ribbon... :?:

Bizzie, I'm piecing those suckers in. I started this a couple of years ago when I first started quilting and didn't have all the different techniques to do anything else. Now I'm thinking I may be a little nuts. I figured out how to line the "sticks" up when crossing other "sticks" and some may be a little off, but it's busy enough that it's not too noticeable.
Quiltlady: the cream background one is called Pick Up Sticks by funquilts!

Probably would have been faster and easier usisng the couching yarn method. Good luck with it.
