vines and leaves are added to the white border.. this took a while on my knees on the floor.. placement and then peeling the appliques..then ironing in place.. whew..
next is to sew them down..
I still haven't even started sewing on the 20 blocks.. but I will get there !

congrats on the weight loss,, I know how hard it is for me so i give thumbs up for anyone trying.. I was just diagnosed with fibro and spinal stenosis.. so things go slow but i have lots of determination on the bad days...

I'm just getting my feet wet into this one, have two books, bought several pieces of material for backing, not sure which one to use. Have traced first two of Friends off, now back to the book and get my bearings so go further. Beautiful square, how big are your squares?

i stayed true to the FRIENDS pattern.. the middle is 26 1/2" and the 20 sq are 12 1/2"
