That is a wonderful pattern. I love their fabrics. Can't wait to see your quilt.

I might be a month before I get to another project. Just started the Patriotic quilt and I'm only on the applique of the vase and flowers. I needed a break so I played with EQ.

Yes, EQ figures yardage but I don't trust it on this and didn't believe it so I'm figuring it myself. When it says that I need 3/8 yd of a fabric that has one 10", two 6", and one 5 1/2" square... It's wrong. Almost every one of the fabrics is like that and I very carefully filled in the fabric again making sure that each one has about the same amount used of it.

That's good to know. I won't be so trusting from now on.

I noticed in EQ5 that the yardage figures were 'generous' - allowing for more than shrinkage - which hardly ever happens in yardage nowadays anyway. I agree with you Pam. I'd double check their fabric calculations too, unless I wanted to add tiny strips to my stash!

AND - I love your new design. Living in New England, I love Fall colors. Now that you're learning so much about applique with your patriotic quiilt, this one should be a piece of cake!
