I received 22 FQs of the Hearth and Home collection from Connecting Threads yesterday. They are gorgeous fall colors! Of course I needed to come up with a design for a Fall quilt. Did this in EQ last night but I'm still figuring up how the FQs need to be cut. The longest strip is 40"x5" (+ seam allowance) so it could be pieced from two strips of a FQ. There are only 3 strips that would need to be pieced. There are eleven 10" squares and then all the 5". I think it can be done with 22 FQs and I thought... all those Turning 20 quilts can be done with 20 FQs so it ought to be enough. If not I have several stash FQs that will go well with them.

That's lovely. What size would it come out as?

I think it's 52"x62". Would be a nice throw for the couch in my green green/brown/orange family room.

Pretty colors! Love the look of the triangles and the applique leaves.

Nice design. And you will be able to show the completed quilt by the weekend? Just kidding, but you do get them out fast!

Lord, Pam, I can't believe how much you can get done! I really like the fall theme of your next quilt. Great design, too. You do such beautiful work.

Doesn't EQ figure yardage? My inexpensive program does.
