Default The sewmobile!

Well.... this is to add to the "I think I've lost my mind" thread that was started a while back... ...

I tried to post some pictures a week or so ago, but life got in the way. I've been busy moving - but I'm almost done. I did some *major* purging this move!

I wanted to post back here and show you the sewing space I made in "the bus" to turn it into my "sewmobile".

Here's the "before" pic. Obviously, the picture is taken from the middle of the bus, standing at the kitchen counter and looking forward. I *love* that the previous owner put that wood-lookin' floor down! No nasty carpeting! The chair you see on the right hand side was removed.... but I did leave that most-forward passenger seat (the granddaughter loves it!) ...

And here it is after it got set up for the first time:

I know it's kinda hard to see... (with all of my gear all over it!) .. but I have the passenger seat turned around (facing rear) so the table goes over it - making more room. That table is a 2'x4' folding table that I have a cutting mat down on as well as my laptop and an iPad to watch TV, etc. Then, along the window, is a Gidget 2 table that has my Ellisimo on it. Then lastly, is a small folding table (slightly bigger than a TV tray-like table) that I have an ironing mat on - and a little Rowenta travel iron.

At the bottom of the picture, you can see the edge of the kitchen counter where the sink is. This kinda gives you an idea of how big the room was - it's 9' from the kitchen counter to the back of the driver seat - so I had all that space to work with.

I've only had a couple of days of "me" time in it, so far. The resort is really nice - swimming pool, fishing lake, lots of activities for kids - so the granddaughter has been down there most of the time with me.

After I get this darn move done, I *swear* I'm going to go down there to have a couple of days to myself.

Oh... and last thing.... for any of you that want to run out and buy a new bus... lol....

I just found out the Winnebago just started production on a cool retro "Brave" model. If you YouTube "Winnebago Brave 2015", you'll find some videos that show the interior has convertible sofa/bed/table. The table is about 6' long.. cool for sewing/hobbies!

I'm starting to think that would really therapeutic for me to have a RipStitcher Road Trip... I could adios outta here for the winter... and that retro bus is just *screaming* to have bunting hanging from the awning.

How cute are *they*?!?!?

I hope some of you from the "I think I lost my mind" thread find this one...

Gotta run...

You should investigate an Outdoor Adventure Club named Sisters on the Fly. There is a chapter in Colorado. Of course, it's about fly fishing but enjoy the camping, women, and the travel. I've thought about joining the local AZ chapter, but don't have a 'bus' yet. They are going on a trip to Montana that is five miles from where I used to live. And life is getting in the way this year. Maybe next year.

I've been an admirer of that group for a few years, now. For anyone else who doesn't know about them, you should check them out... and be sure and look at the gallery of picture of their vintage trailers! Awesome group.
