A friend at church is having twins! One boy, one girl. My quilting buddy is making the girl's quilt and I am doing the boy's. Same pattern but very different fabric.

I'm using flannel and DO NOT like it. Terrible stretching, never did flannel before and won't do it again! But I think it is a cute quilt. 1/4 done.

Here is the pattern if interested: http://www.equiltpatterns.com/quiltp...21a8b3d5ba3a4a

the paw prints are the border and backing. I plan to hand quilt the finish with 1/4 inch within each puzzle piece in black, red and white, depending on which color goes with which piece. I think the different colors of the puzzle pieces outlined on the back will look really nice.

I love black, white and red together. Unique color scheme. How wonderful for someone to share the work of making the quilts.

Flannel is a lot easier to piece if you starch it very heavily before cutting. I use a 1:1 solution of Sta-Flo and water.

This will be a very cute quilt!
