Each batting is different
You may have an issue with the batting after it is washed
The rule is that any space should not be bigger then your hand closed.
I have found that in some cases that is even too much
I would suggest that you free motion in all of background spaces.

Put your feed dogs down and practice it sounds harder then it is.
Once that is done then hang the quilt for 24 hours and see if your designs pop out.
If yes you will have to add more quilting.

Nice quilt

I would be incllined to add a little more quiltng.. most people t hink nothing of tossing a baby quilt into a washer and dryer over and over... and a little bit more would be on the safe side....
