This is new territory me and I'm really happy with the result. This 13 1/2" diameter plate is just laying on a background that will really be a "oxford shirt" blue fabric, with the center being the same. It's to be a pillow for my mother, who picked out every one of those ties. (There are more ties that aren't blue - that's a "something" for me!) Definitely a WIP.

What a marvelous idea. I will have to look at the thrift stores for men's neckties. My husband uses all of his. It will make a really unique pillow.

Beautiful use of ties. I have my Dad's and would like to make something.
How do you wash it??? That's a concern for me.

Very nice!! I just started a tie quilt, took the ties all apart and cut them up and added stabilizer to them. Guess I will applique to the center of my quilt top.... kinda guessing the process. Yours look very nice did you take them apart?

I have my fathers ties that I am trying to find a way to use them. I love what you have done with your fathers ties. What a good idea.
