I would like to start a log cabin but I need to know just how many different pieces of fabric would you need to start one. I have been watching all of these postings for LC but can't seem to tell. Thanks

Some do the log cabins as "organized" ... all the blocks have the same fabric in the same place.

Or you can do a "scrappy/random" one ... lots of different strips. The more the merrier!

AAh, now I see what you mean! I cut long strips and do them assembly style. I don't cut the strips for each block.

Clear as mud???

Also- I just cut a bunch of strips- I probably used up to 20 florals, maybe more.

Let me know if I can help. I never dreamed I'd get such a response WOW THANKS, EVERYONE!

You will have to show us the quilts when you have them all pieced. Gorgeous, and just in time for spring.
