This is my first attempt at making something from my scraps - found the pattern on Quiltville.com. I realize the pictures aren't the best - but hope you can all help me - I'm trying to figure out how to finish it - think it needs a border of some kind. I was thinking a piano key but all I have left is irregular shaped scraps...I do have enough of the dot left do use it for a border. Ideas?

Pretty scrappy! Perhaps a thin dark border, say purple, then a nice wider border of the dot print~~

That is so cute! I love the colors. How big is it? I'm not sure that you really need much of a border. Maybe a thin border of whichever color is your favorite and then bind it in the same color? I'll be interested to see what others suggest.

Beautiful and very cheery. I love this pattern. Got to make one of these.

Wow! that is an impressive scrap quilt. I love all the bright colors. Wish I could help with the border, but that is always difficult for me. :D

That is really cute! I made one, but my colors were much darker. I like yours waaaay better!!! I do like the former suggestion of a thin dark "stopper" and then a border of the dots.

What about using the same strings, running them like piano keys as your border. The piano keys about twice the length of your string strips are wide in the main section.

It is very pretty. I would not worry about the border. I think just a binding would be great.

That's just what I was going to suggest. That dark border will make the colors pop out of there.

This is a marvelous example of "scrap use" that we all want to do with our darling little pieces.
