I was cleaning today and came across Grandma's Crazy Patch quilt which she made about 50 years ago. The blocks are 14" and all made with silk scraps. I imagine Grandma was given a box of scraps from someone. I know she wouldn't have gone out and bought them. To me, this is what crazy patch is all about. I wish she was still here to know that I finally got the quilting bug, too. That's her old treadle machine in my avatar.
(Sorry, it's a bit wrinkled but I'm afraid to iron it.)

How beautiful. Looks brand new. Would love to have that on my bed. Is it quilted?

It's quilted with an embroidery stitch. I don't know the name of this stitch, but she used in in almost all of her quilts. Here's a photo. Does anyone know the name of the stitch?

Wow, that is gorgeous! I love the colors and the embroidery.
Is that what they call a "feather" stitch?
