Default Wooden quilt blocks

I have just finished the tops of 4 12" woodedn blocks. My DH cut them out and rounded the edges for me. My Dad lives next to a dear lady who also quilts. Her DSIL made some blocks for her and she put them in her flower beds. While home for my Mother's funeral, I asked if I could copy her and she said yes. So I drew out these blocks and painted them. I have started on the blocks on the back now too. DH will put post to stick in the ground when I am done. The purple block was named Margaret's Choice (my Mother's name). I couldn't resist doing one for her. The blue and gold one is the Air Force Star my DSIL is in the Air Force so needed one for him. I'm also doing a Texas block for my DS. This is really alot of fun. If it doesn't turn out just repaint. Thanks for taking a look.

Cute idea. Is it any easier to get pointy points with paint? It seems like it could be hard.
