I like the way you did the blocks and sashing....really cute WIP! I am sure your granddaughter will love it!

I love it. I've always been fond of children's quilts that have lots of "interesting" pictures in them. You can spin a story by pointing to them. So for the really little kids, you can teach them vocabulary and have fun. (I did this when my kids were small.)

Let's see... for your quilt... it could start like this

"The gorilla and his friend the giraffe went to the bank to get some money, so that they could go to their favorite restaurant for breakfast. They ordered bacon and eggs." ...
