This is my first quilt for the wounded warrior program. It is ready for quilting, so the off-white "outer border" is really the overshoot of the batting.

Stars are so beautiful. Which ever wounded warrior receives this quilt will treasure it.

Fantastic quilt! The red sashing and gold cornerstones really compliment the blocks.

It looks great. I really love that pattern. Would you share where you got it from?

That's a fabulous quilt. Someone will treasure it very much not only for it's beauty but for the love that made it.

Thank you for all your wonderful praise! I got the main blocks from a local quilt shop. I think they were originally for some kind of class or BOM (this was Month #1) and were most likely "leftovers" by the time I purchased them as I got a group of 9 "kits" (pattern and fabrics on a per block basis). The name of the block is "Antique Star" and is 12x12 finished with the center of the star being a 3 1/2 inch cut square (clue for reverse engineering!) I added the sashing, cornerstones, and borders to enlarge the size of the finished quilt - finding the fabrics locally as well.
