Default Wrap Around Skirt to Wrap Around Quilt!

In 1992 I fell in love with a southwestern design fabric and made a wrap around skirt from it. As time went by I outgrew the skirt (story of my life, ha ha), but still loved the vividness of the fabric and just couldn't let it go. Last year - INSPIRATION. I now have a lovely wrap around quilt that evokes fond memories of when I wore that skirt in my younger yesterdays - and - will keep me keep me warm through out my senior moments! It has not been quilted yet - thinking about adding two more borders. The pattern is called Twistin' Round The Rails from the book "The Giving Quilt" by Cozy Quilt Designs.

Excellent idea! I have a few pieces of clothing that I love but are outdated...it never occured to me to put them into a quilt! Your quilt looks great, and I can see why you loved the fabric!

That is a pretty design. I have made quilts from skirts, etc. that I have found in thrift stores. Yours will have some great memories, however.
