I've been working on this for awhile. I wanted to do something with reproduction fabrics, and when DH saw the fabrics he really liked them--and he seldom has an opinion about my quilts--he just always says he likes them. I was originally making this for ME, but have decided to give it to him for Christmas. He in turn is making me a quilt rack for Christmas, and I couldn't be happier about it!

Looks very nice. He will love it!!! Isn't it great when they like all you do but then, as in my DH's case, say about the lap quilt I was making, "I really like that, can you make it a queen" We really want to then make it for them. I have to finish the one that my DH said that about yet, it is one of my UFO's

Oh my gosh--that's beautiful!! I've never seen that pattern--I love the three strips of border. And your colors are perfect. What a loving team you are. :D

I smiled, too, because my husband has never really shown an interest in having a quilt, until I mentioned Civil War repros to him...that got his attention; he's a CW nut. I start his right after the Christmas gifts are done. All the fabric is washed and waiting....

PS--I looked again--it's hand quilted, isn't it!?

Oooh, I really love that! The pattern is very unique and shows off the fabrics. He's going to adore it! I bet he lets you cuddle under it with him!
