Here is a picture of two Yankee bags I made. I had been looking for material for quite some time and a very generous member of this board (who wishes to remain ananmious) gave me a piece of material. I did not realize you could no longer buy MLB material. I could not believe she was willing to send me a piece. As you can see I have made two bags from it and if I am careful I can still make something else. There has been absolutely no waste so far. I did not use a pattern. I always do totes out of my head. I wish to thank my very generous benefactor for the material. I am so pleased with the bags. I am not an experianced quilter or sewer, but I do the best I can and I love these. Thanks for looking.

Nice bags. I was hunting for Red Sox fabric before I realized that is is impossible to get. I have seen fleece fabric though.

    Thank you.
You can find all kinds of fleece. I have a hard time making totes from it.

Fabulous job on both bags!!! We definitely have some very GENEROUS members on this board. What would we do without them?

You can find it very sparingly but EXPENSIVE. Ones I have found for Red Sox was $65.00 a yard.
    Great totes, you did good!!!

Did any of you try Hancock Fabrics? When I was last home in Saint Louis, went to a store near my cousins and they had MLB cottons and fleece. I got some Saint Louis Cardinal Baseball fabric in cotton. Might want to email them and ask. Worth a try.

Cute bags! Even tho I am a Red Sox fan I never get tired of looking at the cutie patootie A-Rod! Glad someone hooked you up with the fabric...that was really nice.
