Default Look What I made? My Alter Ego Quilt

This quilt was part of a "Bead Inspired" challenge (bead is the face of my alter ego, "The Procion Princess" hanging out with all the fabric that she made).

If you have not done any hand dyeing, Procion MX is the dye used to dye cotton for quilting fabric. She is literally "hanging" between "quilting" and "dyeing" trying to decide which to do...just like me this morning. Fabric edges are rough so they hang in a 3D style. Points are quilted down underneath. All 36 colors were made from the same 2 parent colors, resulting in 36 different colors with 2 simple dye runs. With the dye and soda ash, it came out to about $3.00 per yard. Thanks for looking.

Very 'cool'. I don't really understand it but I do love the colors. After really looking at it again I guess I do 'get it'. Yup, very creative and colorful. It's great you can mix your two passions into such creativeness. When I look at all the beautiful things on this board, it inspires me. Thank you for showing your masterpiece!
